Checklist for printing

  1. Files must be correct aspect ratio for print size ordered
  2. Files should be colour managed e.g. sRGB or Adobe RGB (1998) embedded colour space
  3. File formats: TIFF, JPG, PNG (see notes below)*
  4. File size set as print output size, between 240dpi – 300dpi
  5. No CMYK files

Take care to supply files suitable for high quality print production and that your preparation work is done on a correctly calibrated screen.

Aspect Ratio

The aspect ratio of your uploaded image must match the aspect ratio for the print size that you order

Ensure that your image aspect ratio is correct, image aspect ratio must match print aspect ratio.

For example, if you supply a square image but order a print at A4 then the printed image will be cropped or distorted.

Want an A3 print?

Please ensure your file is pre-sized to the desired print dimensions in suitable editing software before uploading.

If you wish to have your image file printed at A3 dimensions (297mm x 420mm) as shown here

Make sure your file is set to 297mm x 420mm, here’s an example of what your image settings should look like:

Custom size print service

Your file will be printed exactly to the dimensions you enter in the ‘Short Side’ and ‘Long Side’ fields on the codeice.com.au website.

For example: To get a print at 300mm x 450mm, you would enter 300 and 450 respectively.

Borders (if selected): Please note that borders are added to the outside of your specified print dimensions during production, increasing the overall paper size.

*File formats

The Code Ice Prints print-ready service is based on the use of JPG, PNG or TIFF files. JPG files are recommended as they are excellent for electronic transfer and your uploads will be faster. RGB only, no CMYK files.

When preparing your JPG print files ensure that they are exported at a High or Maximum quality setting.

For the Code Ice Prints custom print service either JPG, PNG or TIFF file formats can be supplied. RGB only, no CMYK files.
